Set Up Emergency Contacts on Your Smartphone
Your smartphone can help first responders in an emergency — even if it’s locked. Both iPhones and Android phones allow you to add emergency contacts and important medical information that can be viewed from the lock screen. This means paramedics can quickly see who to call and any critical health details, such as allergies or medical conditions.

Once saved, this information is accessible without unlocking the phone. Take five minutes this week to set this up for yourself — and consider helping a loved one do the same. It’s a small step that can make a big difference in a stressful situation.

Encore Book Club
The "Encore Book Club" is a welcoming space for senior adults to connect, engage, and explore books that inspire lifelong learning, personal growth, and new possibilities. LEARN Member Laureen Quick hosts a monthly discussion about a book related to aging, caregiving, personal reinvention, or community!
The Book Club selection for March is Elizabeth Is Missing by Emma Healey--a poignant mystery told from the perspective of Maud, an elderly woman living with memory loss. Tender, suspenseful, and deeply moving, the novel explores memory, aging, and the power of being heard. Join the discussion on Tuesday, 3/10 from 6:30-7:30 PM.
